7 Months, Recap, & More

Our big man is 7 months. He can sit up pretty well now and will grab and put his binkie into his own mouth. He is good at focusing on one thing. He will stare at you and play with your face or with a toy for a while. For some odd reason he likes to put things on his face...if he gets a hold of a burp cloth, he will always cover his face with it. He has had a little trouble getting to sleep at a decent time lately. He has been sleeping through the night fine, but just doesn't fall asleep like he used to. He wants to stay up an play until midnight! ): We love him!

6 Months

 I can't believe we are at 6 months already! Deacon is getting so big!

6 Month Stats: 

Height: 26.75 inches, 57th %

Weight: 17 lbs 10 oz - 48th %

Head: 17.75 inches, 82nd %

• His laugh is still my favorite thing! I could listen to him laugh all day.
• He has tried squash, sweet potatoes, and apples. He didn't seem to like them much at first, but after a few bites he did much better. He really likes them now.
• He is starting to sit up by himself. If he reaches for a toy or something he tumbles over, but he is getting better every day.
• He and Olivia are starting to notice each other more and like to watch one another.
• He has probably been to Cabelas more than I have in his short 6 months.
• He can sleep through the night, but we have had a rough couple of weeks, which is hard because he was doing so well.
• He likes to touch our faces while he falls asleep. Lately his fingers have been making their way up my nose!
• Still likes to stare at the ceiling, lights, and fans.
• We are looking forward to his first Thanksgiving and first Christmas!
• Overall, I think he is a very good baby!

Socks and Sleep

Deacon played so hard on Sunday in his bouncer that he fell right asleep.
It was cute because he did not want to let go of his toy. (:

Photo Shoot (almost 5 months)

A lady in my ward had her sister-in-law take some pictures of Deacon for me for my baby shower gift. They were taken on Oct 12th and I just got them back this week. He had some pretty cute ones in a little rocking chair she had. We will probably end up with way too many pictures of Deacon that I will never do anything with (he gets his 6-month pictures taken next Tuesday)... but oh well. I guess i'd rather have too many than not enough.

And this is a picture my mom took and sent to me that I love!

Jazz Game

Deacon experienced his first Jazz game last night. Matt got some lower bowl tickets from his aunt and the Hart's also had some extra tickets up above, so we all just shared the seats. Deacon did really well and enjoyed watching the game. He was great with the noise and only got startled once at a buzzer.  He could yell as loud as he wanted and even sported his Jazz gear (thanks to Grandma)! He did get sleepy towards the end, as you can see below, but overall he did great!

5 Months - Deacon

-Weighs around 16 pounds

-Has the cutest laugh and best smile!

-Rolls over way too fast for me now

-Usually gets mad when he rolls over on his tummy, but insists on still doing it

-Can entertain himself for a little while
-Likes to look at his hands and feet

4 Months

4 Month Stats

-Weighs 15 lbs 2 oz - 50th %

-Head is 16 3/4 inches - 54th %

-Length is 25.5 inches - 68th %

The doctor said he's doing great. He does have a little eczema that we are trying some Cetaphil cream on, but other than that, he's a healthy growing boy. I feel so bad when he has to get his shots, but I know that he needs them and will be better off in the long run.
