Easter, Helmet, and Hat

Happy Easter! We didn't do much for Easter, but Grandma Mecham brought Deacon some fun things to play with. He enjoys wearing his "Super Bunny" mask and playing with all of his eggs. Thanks grandma!

Here is Deacon being Davy Crockett in the hat his Grandpa Fenwick bought him at our last visit in St. George.
I thought it was cute that Deacon used both of his blankets as a pillow instead of as blankets. He is getting pretty attached to them at night and thinks he needs both.
Deacon likes to be safe indoors and outdoors. He found this helmet that is meant for him to use with a bike, but he has insisted on wearing it around the house several times. Safety first!
Deacon has a bit of a biting problem right now. When he gets frustrated or mad and wants something, he thinks he can git it by biting. I hope this biting phase doesn't last long. He gets pretty attached to things sometimes and will carry whatever his item of choice is around for quite a while. I can't believe how big he's getting! He weighed 26 pounds a few weeks ago, and that was after he had been pretty sick, so i'm sure he's more now. He is doing great at talking and tries to repeat a lot of the words he hears. He's been a bit of a pain to get into his car seat lately and he can fight pretty hard. He is loving Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and i'm probably guilty of letting him watch it to much, but he just loves it. I do think he is learning from it though, so that's a plus. He loves being outside: walks, stroller rides, going to the park, playing in the yard, he loves it all! He is also fascinated with rocks and will pick up and hold as many as his little hands possibly can. We sure love this little stinker of ours!
