Our sweet little boy has reached the 5-month mark already! He has a super cute laugh and I love to hear it. He really enjoys his baths now and pretty much pees every time he gets in the tub, which is okay with me because then it minimizes the chance that he'll pee on me later when i'm getting him dressed. I love how soft his belly and head are and how the whites of his eyes are completely white (no red lines in them yet) - babies are just so perfect. He likes to play with toys a lot more now and is doing better at being on his tummy for tummy time. He is our super smiley boy, and Deacon just loves him. Deacon has had a hard time waking up in the mornings, but if I bring Emerson in his room and set him in his bed, Deacon wakes right up and is excited to lay next to his brother for a minute. I don't think Emerson will have any problem eating solid foods when the time comes because he seems very interested in our food when he see us eat. His neck is getting stronger and he tries to sit up when he's on your lap, but still no rolling for him yet. He still doesn't really like being in his car seat or in the car, unless it's moving. Emerson is a good sleeper for the most part; he sleeps well on my chest, which I love, just like Deacon did, and most nights he will sleep through the night, which is great! Sometimes when I hold him in the rocking chair and try to get him to take a nap he will get upset because he knows he's starting to fall asleep. He likes to suck/chew on his hands a lot and makes funny sucking sounds. Sometimes when I hold him he will lay his head down on my shoulder and he feels so good! He still has some fun, chunky legs and a double chin, but we love him, rolls and all! I'm so grateful that he is such a good baby!
