Easter Weekend

On Saturday, we took Deacon and Livy on the Easter Bunny Train. Livy didn't seem too excited to be on the train at first, but Deacon loved it. He saw the Easter Bunnies (there were 3) before we got on the train and gave one a hug and a high-five. Then when we were on the train he got to dance with them for a minute and would get really excited whenever he could see them in the other train cars. There was also a magician on board that did a quick trick for us. When Deacon tells people about the magician, he tells them that he "disappeared." After our little train ride we went to the petting zoo they had at the train station. There were some baby cows, pigs, a goat, bunnies, and chicks. I didn't really want Deacon to touch all of the animals; I was hoping he would be satisfied with just looking at them, but no...he had to touch as many of them as he could. The animals were cute, but it was hard to see and pet them all with so many other people.

On Easter day we went up to my parent's house for an Easter Egg Hunt for Deacon and Livy.  It was pretty cute watching them run around to get the eggs.  After they got the eggs, they enjoyed running around the yard, playing with sticks, and visiting Sadie.

I should mention that my birthday was mixed in there somewhere. Matt was really sweet and took care of Deacon in the morning so I could sleep in. When I got up he had flowers on the table for me and a "Happy Birthday Mommy" sign taped to the wall. He was very sweet and we all went out for dinner together that night.
