I wanted to write down some of the things Deacon has said and done recently. I may be repeating myself with some things, but it's better than forgetting them.
When Deacon is looking for something, he asks us if we've seen whatever he's looking for "round here." For example, he'll say "have you seen any (fill in the blank) round here?"
One morning Deacon kept telling me, at least I thought, that my hair was dyin'. It was just up in a bun and I wasn't sure why he thought it was dying, but he's a kid so I just said okay. He said it a few more times before I figured out that he was telling me that my hair was stylin'. I much prefer "styling" hair over "dying" hair!

Deacon is very good at recognizing the Taco Bell bell when we pass it. He always says "that's Taco Bell." My mom was pretty surprised he knew what it was when he said it to her.
(3/17/16) Even though he's still never really seen Star Wars, Deacon loves Darth Vader, R2D2, C3-PO, and Yoda. He also likes to sing the Darth Vader theme song. Sometimes when he's laying in his bed at night before he goes to sleep we will sing a few songs. He has requested the "Darth Vader" song quite a bit this week. I had my phone with me last night and decided to let him here the actual theme song. He had to listen to it twice.
He has a bit of the dark side in him (;

My Grandparents watched Deacon and Livy on March 5 while the rest of us went to a bowling charity event for my work. We had a good time and I think the kids enjoyed themselves, too. I even bowled a 150 the first game. The theme this year was Star Wars.
I also was able to get together for dinner with a few of my old USU roommates at the end of February. I haven't seen some of them in a long time! It was so fun to see them and to catch up for a bit.
(6 girls = 9 kids and 2 on the way!)
I took Deacon to the Bountiful City Bunny Hop on Saturday, March 19th. Mandy and Livy came with us, too. We had never been before so I didn't really know what to expect. The egg hunt lasted about 30 seconds... they just had eggs spread out all over a small field and the kids run and grab as many as they can. I was a little bothered that the parents were "helping" their children so much, but when I saw them grabbing the eggs I figured I had better grab some for Deacon, too. Deacon had fun and wanted to eat all of the candy from his eggs right away. I think he ate 3 pieces at the park and the other 4 after his nap at home. The kids then played on the playground for a little bit before Deacon saw a bounce house he wanted to go in. I think he bounced in that thing for 15-20 minutes it seemed like. He loved it! I'm glad he did it too because he took a 3.5 hour nap that day, so it must have worn him out. Livy on the other hand wasn't a fan of the bounce house. She would just sit at the opening and watch all of the other kids... she's a people watcher, just like her mother.
Later that night, my friends took me out to dinner at Zupas for my birthday and then we went to see the new Divergent movie, Allegiant, afterwards. I have really enjoyed the Divergent series (both the books and the movies), although I am a little disappointed that the movies have started to diverged from the books so much.
(We forgot to take a picture!)
Pregnancy Update: With Deacon I remember being somewhat sick in the mornings during my first trimester and would have to lay down sometimes when I was getting ready for work. I also don't remember having any food cravings, but more food aversions, for example I could not eat cereal for at least the first trimester. I only remember throwing up a hand full of times (although Matt would say differently). With this baby I have been more sick in the evenings after I eat dinner. I was either hungry or nauseous for quite a bit of the first trimester and hoped for some relief at the beginning of the second. Luckily I have only thrown up once so far and have had some relief now that i'm in the second trimester, but still don't feel that great all the time and still just want to lay down and fall asleep after dinner. Things I have craved this time are hot chocolate, chocolate milk, Pace's rainbows, and apple juice. I have also much preferred getting take-out for dinner than making dinner. I am just so hungry by the time that I get home from work that fast food is obviously much faster than me making dinner. I am pretty sure I felt this baby kick around 14 weeks, which I thought was super early, but it can happen. I haven't felt it much since then, but hopefully I will start to feel it more soon. This must be a strong baby!
