The 4th of July holiday was great! I got off work a little early on July 3rd, so I took Deacon and Livy to the splash pad to play around. They had a good time. Then we took Deacon and Emerson to see the West Bountiful fireworks that night. Deacon loved them and Emerson enjoyed playing with the glow sticks. On the 4th, West Bountiful held a little event at a park, and I took Deacon and Livy to that. We got there kind of late, but they both were able to get a balloon animal/item. Livy got a dog and Deacon got a gun. Sadly, after spending about 1/2 hour in line to get the balloons, both things popped within 20 minutes of us getting home. Livy was terrified of the clowns, but did happily accept her dog. We bought some fireworks and did a little show at our house that evening. We had quite a show from all of the people around us; many of them were doing the big areal fireworks. It was fun to watch and a great holiday!
And...we finally put Deacon in a toddler bed. It was time and Matt had been pushing to do it for a while, but I just wasn't ready to give Deacon the freedom of a toddler bed. Luckily, it has gone better than I thought it would and Deacon is quite happy with his new bed.
