More hiking with Grandpa:

The kid's dentist holds an annual Back to School Carnival. This was the first year Emer came. The had fun playing games, going on the blow up slide, getting a balloon, and eating corn dogs.

I can't remember for sure, but I think Emer's shirt got all wet when he got a drink, so we took it off to dry. He had fun sticking his sticky lizard to his tummy. He also got his shorts messy earlier in the day, so he was borrowing some of Livy's shorts. This wasn't his best wardrobe day (: luckily he didn't mind.

We had to wait in line for along time, but Deacon got his balloon Pikachu, Emer got a tiger, and Livy got the Little Mermaid. I was pretty impressed with some of the characters they can make with balloons. 

We started going to the Farmer's Market on Thursday evenings. Intermountain Healthcare sponsors a booth where kids can do an activity and then get $2 in produce bucks to spend on fruit/vegetables.  We were able to get corn, peaches, peppers, green beans, zucchinis, apples, plums, and several other yummy things during September and October. Once the vendors started to have pumpkins, that's what Deacon wanted to get. One time he wanted to use his vegetables to make a vegetable soup. As nice as that would have been, we just didn't have the necessary ingredients at home to make that, so we ate the veggies as a side to our dinners. Emerson LOVED getting samples of the peaches - that's all he wanted to do.  We are looking forward to going to the Farmer's market next year and hope they offer the same thing

This is a picture of Deacon drawing a face on his pumpkin with a pen he found at the park. That was another positive of the Farmer's Market is it was in the same area as the city park, so the kids got to play for a bit after they picked their produce.

Frightmares at Lagoon:

Once this started, Deacon mostly just wanted to go to the "Spook-a-boo's" where the kids get candy and little toys. They had three the kids could go to each time and another little scary walk-through that Deacon liked.

My Mom invited us to join them at their Ward Party this year. They had horseback riding, a tractor ride, snow cones, food, petting zoo, and other fun things. It was all at one of the ward member's homes. The kids had a fun time and received a bandanna and Sheriff badge upon arrival.
