Sept 9: We went to the kid's dentist's annual Back to School Carnival. They had fun getting prizes, jumping in the bounce house, and getting balloon animals. Deacon got a monkey and Emerson got a sword.
Sept 14: Painting Pumpkins
We like to get Halloween started as soon as possible (:
Sept 20: Deacon lost his first tooth! He has been saying his teeth have been wiggly for a long time now, even though none of them have, but they are now finally starting to get loose. He lost one of his front bottom teeth and the permanent tooth was already coming in behind it. It was pretty loose and when he was going to bed, he kept saying he wanted to get it out. I tried quite a few times tying some floss around the tooth and pulling, but it wasn't working and kept slipping off. Finally one of the times, it worked. Deacon did a great job and has been so excited to tell everyone that he lost a tooth. He got $1 and a note from the tooth fairy. I was glad to get it out that night because I figured he would be playing with it all day during church the next morning if he didn't get it out.

Sept 26: Emer wakes up from his nap, sits on the couch and says "I want a sandwich!" I said "okay, what kind?" He says "why are you not getting my sandwich?" He's usually such a nice, polite kid, but this demand for a sandwich was pretty funny. Then he told me he wanted a cheese sandwich. I asked if he wanted any ham on it, he said "yes, and cheese!" He was very adamant about making sure his sandwich had cheese on it.
