This month continued to bring more confusion, uncertainty, and remote school. We were worried that we wouldn't be able to find something fun to do for Deacon's birthday since most places were still closed. A few things were open, but with limited hours and restrictions. You had to wear a mask pretty much everywhere and a lot of places began to offer curbside pick-up (which was nice). Thanksgiving Pointe has a farm area that was open that we were able to go to for Deacon's birthday. You had to book a time and buy your tickets in advance online so they could limit the number of people that were there at the same time. Many places began to do this to limit how many people were in a single space at one time. We had to continue to social distance and try to stay at least 6 feet away from people that were not in our same household while we were there.

May 2020/Deacon's Birthday
Emer still likes to find something he's attached to each day and keep it with him. This day he was hooked to a golf ball and even took to to sleep with him.
Happy 7th Birthday Deacon!
Deacon decided he wanted Chick-fil-A for lunch, and his favorite food, Orange Chicken for his birthday dinner. We made cupcakes and then spent the afternoon at Thanksgiving Pointe Farm Country. We ended the day with a party with grandparents and ate our cupcakes and ice cream.
Thanksgiving Pointe Farm Country:
Deacon was excited to go on a pony ride. Emerson on the other hand was not happy and didn't end up going.
We were able to have a party with Deacon's Grandparents that night. I think overall, he was able to have a pretty good birthday.
Deacon is becoming quite the "Lego Builder."
We were able to go to the park again, hooray!
Deacon got some pliers one day and pulled out all the weeds alongside our driveway one day all by himself. I was pretty proud of him.
