We had a busy, but fun Memorial Day Weekend. First. our oldest nephew on Matt's side, Doug got married. They had a nice reception on Friday evening, and then were married on Saturday morning with a luncheon in the afternoon. It was a wonderful sealing in the Bountiful Temple, and it turned out to be a beautiful day. My parents were kind enough to watch the kids for us while we went to the temple, and then we picked them up for pictures and took them to the lunch. Deacon was so cute holding Garrett's hand.
On Sunday, we went to the cemetery with Matt's parents and Todd's family. They were so sweet to leave some flowers and a bear at Wyatt's grave and we left him a yellow flower, too.
On Monday, Matt worked at my parents house all day doing the electrical while I took the kids to the Zoo with his mom. I am so glad that Pat came with us! It was very busy and would have been very difficult to do all three kids by myself. Deacon was so excited to see all the giant bugs the Zoo has right now for their Bugzillas event! There were also some baby animals including a zebra and a cheetah that we saw. Emerson was a dreamboat, as always, and didn't cry or complain once. He was so wonderful for Grandma and even took about a 30 minute snooze.
The kids had fun running back and forth, watching the otter swim in the water:
And to top the night off, we ended with a BBQ at Uncle Todd's house. We celebrated the May family birthdays and one gift Deacon got was a bug catching kit, which he absolutely loves! Talise was nice enough to catch a few bugs with him before we had to leave. Emerson enjoyed swinging in the swing and even cried when it was time to get out.
