Easter Weekend

Easter weekend was a fun and busy one. One 3/24 we went to a Bunny Hop Easter Egg Hunt at North Canyon Park. The company that was throwing the event provided lunch and a huge egg hunt. The only problem was that it was a bit cold and windy. The event started at 11am and the kids had a hotdog, but the egg hunt wasn't until 12pm, so we had to wait around for a while. They played on the park and waited in the car when they got cold. When it was finally time for the egg hunt, they lined up and then ran around collecting eggs and filling up their baskets. Matt was watching Emer and said he opened the first egg he found and popped the candy right into his mouth, wrapper and all. Deacon found a "special" egg that had a $2 bill in it. He was very excited. Deacon and Livy had fun opening their eggs and sorting through all their stuff (candy, stickers, little toys, etc) when they got home. Besides the cold, they had a fun time.

Lagoon opened on March 31 this year, and since we got season passes for Christmas, I wanted to go with the kids and thought it wouldn't be too busy. It was a nice day and the kids had a fun time. This was Emerson's first time going and he seemed to really like the rides. I learned that I need to bring a lot more snacks :)

The kids opened their Easter baskets on Easter morning and had fun with all of their new stuff. My Grandma Mecham invited us over for dinner that evening, which was extremely nice of her. We had a nice dinner and she hid some eggs for the kids to find. They had fun running around and playing in the backyard.

My Mom also gave the kids a little Easter basket, and one of the things she gave them was a bubble maker. We tried it out a few days later and the kids had fun with them.
