April

My kids have done some funny things this month that I want to document. First, one night I was getting the tub ready for Emerson. He loves the tub and will wait by it and kind of try to get it while it fills up, but has never actually gotten in before. I went into my room while the tub was filling up to change my clothes, and when I went back in, he was standing in the water with his clothes on. I'm glad he didn't sit down, but I was surprised that he got right in. My little boy is getting bigger ): It was pretty funny to see him standing in the tub in his clothes though.

When I picked Deacon up from daycare one day, he told me that some kind of small marble was stuck in his nose. He said that he tried to get it out, but that it got in too far and got stuck. Matt looked with a flashlight when we got home and couldn't see anything, but we decided to take him to Instacare just in case. The doctor couldn't find anything and said that it probably went down his throat and into his stomach. Better to be safe than sorry sometimes. Matt jokes that he gets this trait from me since once I got a popcorn kernel stuck in my ear and had to have the doctor get it out.

Mandy found some beta fish on Facebook and got one for Livy and Deacon for their birthdays. Deacon named his Blue Bot and Livy's doesn't seem to have a name (or it continues to change). They both seem to quite like the fish and have fun watching them. Unfortunately for me, I have to clean the bowl out about once a week ):

Livy and Deacon's preschool went on another field trip this month to Mrs. Cavanough's chocolate factory in NSL. I went with them again. We got a tour of the factory, watched a short video, and got some samples, yum!

We have gone to Lagoon a few more times (my blog will probably have an overload of Lagoon pictures this year). I'm trying not to take too many pictures, but will probably take at least a few each time we go. The kids have been able to go on some different rides each trip. Emer gets upset sometimes when the ride is over and he has to get out. I'm glad that he likes the rides and isn't afraid of them. I think Deacon's favorites are still the "spooky" rides. I'm not sure what Livy likes yet, but I know she did not enjoy the Ferris Wheel.  A few of our friends have passes this year, too, so we have been able to meet up with some of them.

Deacon was not happy in the picture above because he wanted to go on a different ship on this ride. We wanted all of the kids to be together, so we made them pack into this one. After the ride was over, he was all smiles and laughing with the other kids.

My niece, Sky, was married to Jamison Ebert on Friday, April 27. They were sealed in the Bountiful temple and then had a luncheon after and a reception that night. My Mom was kind enough to watch the boys while we went to the sealing, and then we picked them up for pictures and the lunch. We came home and rested a bit and then went to the reception. Deacon and Emerson had fun eating ice cream, running around the gym, and dancing. They were very cute with each other. Deacon was nice enough to follow Emerson around and make sure he didn't get into trouble.  It was a beautiful wedding and a great day. Sky even wore my wedding dress, which was really cool, and she looked beautiful!

The water fountain was a hit with the kids!
